parking fee question at resorts

If we wanted to go to resort and just check it out, do you have to pay for parking.

Yes, but at the PBH, they don't have a guard gate, and the exit gate has been stuck in the up position. I saw many people just driving thru the exit side. Then when you leave, the gate is already up, so you just drive out.
And get this, when we first arrived, I got a ticket from the machine and then took it to the valet window and said I was checking in. The girl validated my ticket and said to go inside. So anyone can get a legit ticket, take it to the window, and say they want it validated. It's just that people don't now this little secret. The PBH has TONs of spaces availabe in their garage.

Do you have to pay a parking fee if you are staying at the Hotel?

Yep, in situations like that it's added to your bill at check out. We found that out when I received my final statement on our Sandestin beach condo. No mention was made about parking fee, I was just give a huge deposit total at booking (2/3 of the total cost). Paid balance at check in, still no statement. Final statement came in the mail, saw that it included $25 reservation fee and $6 per day parking. Won't stay there again! It cost more for three nights there than our PBH trip tix included!
