Does anyone know what it costs to park at Universal?

WOW!!! $8.00 to park!?!?!? CHA-CHING!!!!! Thanks for the info!

Park is as followed:

Cars: $8
RVs: $10
VIP: $14
Preferred: $13

That is what parking costs.

Parking must have recently gone up then, because we were there in November and Preferred was only $11.00.

I can't say your wrong, but it's been $13 since it was introduced back in 10/2002. I might be wrong, but I know for a fact it's $13 now. Annual Pass Holders pay $3 for it. It's not worth getting either.

It wasn't introduced in 10/02...they've had the option to purchase preferred parking for some time now, but I'm pretty sure it's $11. It's $3 to upgrade for annual passholders, which is the difference between the regular rate and the preferred rate, that's how they come up with the $3.

I'll eat my hat if I'm wrong

Either way it's not worth getting, and I only seen it in October 2002, so it's was new to me in October. Before that I never seen it and it was never offered to me.

Now they offer it to you, "Regular or Preferred...Sir" That was asked to me before October.

Anyway it's not worth getting and no worth mention any further.

$11 or $13, $2 dollars big deal save your money because it's not worth it. Either is VIP.

See that is just the difference in opinions, because I felt for $3.00 more is was well worth it. You are able to park on the same level as the entrance into the park and we have always been fairly lucky and able to park close to the walkways.

I used it once and I was a further away then I would normally be so I don't think it was a good deal.

It was $11 for us in our Dec trip and it was WELL worth it... for us (with 3 children, stroller, etc.) I probably wouldn't pay the extra if by myself though- it's really only up a level or a few levels, right? Worth it with a stroller and kids who complain their legs hurt from walking before you even get into the park. LOL

The prices are $8.00 for regular and $11.00 for the preferred. I really think it is worth the extra $3.00 for the preferred especially on the more crowded days. It makes it that much closer that you don't have to walk to your car.

Where did everyone park when they used it?

Because I know for a fact I was further away then I usually ever would.

I parked in Kong, same level, way down at the end, I usually park in Jurassic Park which is 2 lots closer.

I used it back at HHN's in October at around 4:30pm, maybe that is why I was park at the very end of the parking deck, I don't know but it wasn't closer.

That is why for me it was a waste of money because I could have parked closer without getting it.

If I remember right, preferred parking is right around handicapped parking, which is level 3 of Jaws. It does save you a few steps to parking. It depends on if the difference between regular and preferred parking is worth it to you. Personally, I must let the people movers do the walking.

If and when they ever work, every time I have ever gone this year something is not working.

Just park in the "Employee of the Month" spot, like Barry does.
Especially on the week-ends. (EOM's don't work week-ends!)

Hmmm... time to make a mental note of that one.

And I sure hope you stand to the right if you're just going to stand there and let them do the walking for you!!! :)

We'd hate to have to plow you over on our quest to let the people movers get us to the parks QUICKER than walking...

I'm always amazed at how many people just group themselves in such a way that nobody can pass  - usually with their strollers that aren't supposed to be brought onto the moving walkways anyway...

And then...THEY give you dirty looks as you walk past them, causing them to sometimes <gasp> move out of the way...

Ok...it's my pet peeve...it's been a year since I mentioned it! LOL
