Parking Fee at Doubletree Guest Suites at Downtown Disney

I just modified a reservation for an upcomming trip and it appears that there is now a $8 per day fee to self park here? That adds $80 to my trip! Did anyone else see this?

I also have a res. there and I noticed it also. According to mousesavers they are not charging yet. I looked on Hiltons website and they are going to start charging on Oct 1 so I imagine Doubletree will start on Oct. 1st also.

I originally booked back in July and there was a $5.00 fee listed, but everyone mentioned that the parking was free. Rates went down last month, so I rebooked at the lower rates, but I noticed the fee was listed at $8.00. I went ahead and kept the newer reservation, because it still came out cheaper, but I hope they won't charge the fee (our trip overlaps from September to October).

Yes, there have been reports of cars getting notices of towing if they aren't moved. I would think the overnight for more then one night would get you on the list....
