We are renting a scooter and staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. The room looks kinda small for everyone to manuever around with the ECV in the room at night. Has anyone ever left their parked scooter outside their door, minus the keys, before? Can this be done?
I would keep it inside. You need to charge it at night and there are no plugs outside.
What we did was put the bench in the sink area underneath the clothes hang bar. (Gave us a place to sit down while dressing behind the curtain). Then put the ECV where the bench was.
We are DVC members at OKW, but in the past when we stayed at different moderate resorts with DD's wheelchair, we just moved furniture around like clkelley said. You should be ab le to make a good parking spot for it and then just leave it there while you re in the room.
We had a bit more to worry about since DD had to drive her wheelchari to get around, but your ECV should be able to fit.
We just move furnature around to find a good spot for the ecv.
Just make sure when you start moving things, there is an outlet near that space, so you can plug the chair in to charge.
I would not want to keep it outside overnight. A person could put it into freewheel and walk it to their car and drive off, then just replace the keylock cylinder. Also there are no outlets available for recharging.
I have even been in value resorts with an ECV and had no problem; I may have had to move the table. Also there is about five or six feet of cord on each side of the charging box.
