For those who fly out of DTW, I'm trying to figure out what parking will cost and if I can find any coupons online? I remember years ago using a shuttle service from a parking lot right across the street? any help appreciated!:thumbsup2

I'm going to use globalairportparking, the cost is $5.00/day offsite at DTW. We haven't used yet, we're going to try them for our September trip. I used this same company out of Indianapolis this past May for our trip and worked great.

Another option would be the coupon posted at airlinesparking.com, which currently offers $8/day. Might be worth considering if the cheaper options are too far or have raised their rates.

Green lot on airport property is $8/day.

My experience is that the private off-site parking provides better shuttle service than does the on-property operation. We used Quik-Park over Thanksgiving when we went overseas. It was $8 per day (I believe). The shuttle was to our car before we stepped out of the car and quickly got us to the terminal. The return trip was similar.

When I've done shorter trips I've parked on property thinking it would be faster -- it would have been if I'd walked from the lot and not waited for their shuttle service (and it would have been a long walk).

I also often park at Qwik-Park. Nice shuttles, good service. They have a coupon.

However, if you want to live large, and are leaving on a Saturday or Sunday morning, consider the Westin's park-n-fly rate. It usually hovers around $140-$160 for a Friday or Saturday night, and includes 8 days of valet parking. Get from your bed to your plane without going outside, and have your car fetched, warmed up (or cooled down) and waiting for you when you get back.

Thanks for the coupon post for airlines, last I checked the coupon said it was $11 a day. every little bit helps these days.

Qwik Park and Airlines Parking are owned by the same company, so their rates are the same and there are coupons online for a free day. The Green Lot is $8 a day. Big Blue is $10. I don't like Big Blue because the walk can be daunting if you have a lot of stuff to haul. We used Qwik Park last week and will use it again next week. The service is very good.
