Parking/check in question

Hi all - I have a question I'm hoping y'all can help me with. We have a big group that will be staying at FW, not everyone arriving on the same day, but generally being there from March 10-18. My dad will be driving, bringing his trailer, and will arrive on March 10. My sister will also be driving, set to arrive mid-afternoon on March 12. Finally, I'll be flying in that same day, getting to FW around 7:00 pm on March 12.

I have to be the one to check us into the cabin, as we are using a pin code that is under my name only. My sister is on the reservation for the cabin also, but I don't want her to check in till I get there so we can get that good pin rate. During the time between when my sister gets there and I get there, I know she will want to hang out at my dad's campsite.

So, finally getting to my question, is there any way they will let her in the gate in her own car so she will have her children's stuff with her without unpacking (toys, etc.), while they wait for me to arrive from MCO? Or, will she have to leave her car in the overflow lot? I know she'd much rather be able to keep the car - she may be bringing things that need to get to my dad's trailer (the kids will likely sleep there some), but I'm worried about whether they'll let her in under these circumstances.

If you reserved under the Pin code and have the rate, it is yours!! It matters not who picks up the room keys for the cabin when ya'll arrive. Pay off the reservation ahead of time and then your sis can pick up the room keys and get her stuff moved in.

Alternatively, if you don't want to do that, have your dad ask for an extra parking pass and perhaps he can also add your sis to his campsite so she can have a room key before you arrive. Then he can meet her in the overflow lot, give her the parking pass and key card and she can come and go as she pleases until you arrive.

Thanks, Carol! That's different, though, from what I have heard about the pin codes. I've always heard that I'll have to be there to check in. But, I can't think of any reason why not to try what you're saying - pay the whole bill before we get there and just let DS check in when she arrives. We're doing room only - does that make a difference? I know I don't have to pay the balance before we get there, but can I? There's no prohibition of that, is there?

Yes, you can pay it off ahead of time, not a problem. (Even a couple of days ahead of time). As far as deals and Pin codes, they only apply to reserving it and securing the discount. Once it's reserved, it's yours!!
