Parking at Universal

We are considering a trip in July 2021 and I read that Universal onsite hotels charge a per day parking fee. I've also read that parking is included with some annual passes. Would the included APH parking also be good for use at the hotels, or only at the lots located at each park?

I'm assuming if it's only at the parks that overnight parking in those lots is prohibited?

I can’t answer the APH question but hotel guests pay about 1/2 the non-guest parking rate. For example Royal Pacific lets non-guests park in their lot and walk to Universal from there.

Parking in the garage outside a City Walk is included with some APs. But, like you said you can’t park there overnight. The resorts do charge for parking because you will be leaving your car in their lot overnight. You use your room key to get in and out of the resort lot, instead of constantly getting a ticket from the gate.

AP parking does not apply to resorts, only to the theme park parking garages & only at certain AP levels.
