Parking at TTC for AK with MK evening EMH

Looking at the calendar for August and on the 24th we are looking to do Animal Kingdom which closes at 7pm.

And Magic Kingdom closes at 10pm and is slated for EMH in the evening.

So we are staying offsite so I know we cannot partake in EMH.


Don't have exact plans laid out yet but thinking we will close the park and then take a bus to the Contemporary and walk over to MK till close.

I have to ask is it worth it?

What kind of time are we looking at to travel from TTC to AK in the morning?

What kind of time are we looking at from AK to MK in the evening?

And is three hours in the evening worth it?

There isn't, however, a bus from the TTC to AK. You'll still have to get from there toMK or one of the resorts.

I was under the impression that buses ran from parks to resorts.

Also was not aware that TTC didn't serve AK.

Guess I will just drive to AK and then head to TTC

There are buses to both AK and DHS at the MK bus stops. They used to be at TTC..but with the bus stop expansion, they are now over at the MK! So nice not to have to get to TTC to go to these two parks.
Is it worth it for 3 hrs in MK? Only you can answer that! It should take about 45 mins to get from AK to MK. And vice versa. If you leave AK at 7, you can expect to be at MK by 8...that gives you 2 hrs in the park...again, up to you to decide if it's worth it. I would actually spend less time in AK and head to MK by 5:30ish.

The AK pick-up having moved from TTC to MK is still fairly recent, so things could change before August, but currently:

The bus from MK to AK also picks up at TTC until 9 a.m. The last pick-up at TTC is a few minutes after 9. There should be a Transportation cm in an orange safety vest that you can ask, or ask at the bus info window.

So if you're before 9, you can get a bus to AK at the TTC. If you're after 9, the Express Monorail & Ferryboat (and buses on busiest days) will be running to the MK, so it should take just 10 minutes longer to get to MK to catch the AK bus. (If the supplemental buses are running, there's usually no line, making them the fastest route to MK.) You could also take the Epcot monorail and get an AK bus there, or the Resort Monorail to Poly and get one there.

But you really should check back within a month of your trip to see if anything has changed, transportation-wise.

If its 45 minutes to go from AK to MK that leaves 2 hours for MK which to me is 2 rides. If we end up leaving at close we could do a few other things.

The reason I think we may close AK is because mid day I would like to go to AK lodge for a bit.

And yes I will definitely look again closer to our trip.

That 45 mins includes any possible wait times for the bus to get there! The ride itself is only about 20 mins. So, if a bus comes along shortly after you get to the bus stop, your time could be cut in half.
