I haven't been able to find this answer anywhere - do the resorts charge for parking if you are staying there?

Thanks. :)

NO it's free. Plus if you don't use DW transportation, you can park at the theme parks for free.

No you can park at all the resorts for free, there is a charge for valet. There is also a 3 hour parking pass issued if you are parking at a resort other than your own.

The pass is usually issued at Epcot, and Magic Kingdom resorts.

I was just there this week and they do not issue passes

I parked at GF and BW for meals and they never issued a pass - they just let me in

DH and I were there from 10/3-10/11 and we got a parking pass when we parked at the Poly for breakfast and dinner. We didn't get a pass when we parked at WL, BC, POR, or OKW.

Don't you love Disney's inconsistency - we ate at Ohana's and mom parked there - no parking pass - that was on Oct 11!!

I guess the lesson is - you might or might not get one -

were you staying on property? maybe that makes a difference -

I think your more likely to be issued a pass when the resorts/parks are busy. At least, that has been our experience. Parking is at a premium at those times.

Yup, we were staying on property and had our SSR parking permit displayed in the car window. We figured at that point that maybe the MK resorts were limiting parking to keep guests from parking at the resorts and going to the park (thus avoiding the TTC). Since we didn't have ressies at the GF or Contempo, we didn't have anything to compare it with. On Saturday morning we had a breakfast ressie at WCC at WL, and got no parking permit. I would think that's one place they would really want to limit parking, since the lot is so small.

their lot is REALLY small - but last week it wasn't ever even half full!!

Yes, we all know too well how inconsistent the "world" is. I posted the parking permit thing so the OP would be aware that this could happen.
