Next month will be our 1st trip to WDW in a long time where we have not stayed at a Monorail Resort since we are staying at the Boardwalk Inn. So I was wondering when we want to drive over to the Polynesian to eat at the Kona Island Sushi Bar we will have any problems trying to park there, since they don't take ADR's? If it helps we are going to be at WDW from December 9 - 23 and I know the closer it gets towards Christmas it becomes harder to park at the Monorail Resorts if your not staying there or don't have confirmed ADR's, although we plan to go there early on in our trip to avoid any problems.

We've parked at the Poly for dinner and just to wander around the resort multiple times and have never had a problem. A couple of times, the guard actually asked if we had reservations and we told him the name it was under. Another time, we just told him we were there to look around because we were planning on staying there, and he let us in with no problem. I'm sure if you tell him that you are there to eat at the Sushi Bar, there shouldn't be an issue. If all else fails, you could park at the T&TC and monorail over (even though that would be a pain). Now, I will say we have never been there around the holidays, but we have done this in June and August with no problem. (pretty busy times)

no problem...just tell the gate guard and they'll point you in the right direction!
