Parking at the parks.

I'm not sure if this is the best place for this question, but it seems like it might be. I did a search, but couldn't really find this particular question. Sorry if it's been addressed before.

How exactly does parking work at the parks? Does each park have it's own lot, or is it one big lot that runs shuttles to the parks? (a friend suggested this, I thought it sounded absurd, but who knows...) We are staying offsite, so the resort shuttles aren't an option.

Yes, each park has a separate parking lot, although you could park at the TTC and take buses or the monorail to the parks.

Each park has it's own parking lot. The MK has the Ticket and Transportation Center. You park there and take a tram to the main staging area. Then, take either the ferry or monorail over to MK. Or, you can take the Epcot monorail line.
You can also get a bus to both DHS and AK from the TTC.
Epcot, AK and DHS all have their own parking lots. AK and DHS both have trams that will take you closer to the park entrance if you have had to park further away.
Something to keep in mind....once you pay to park at one park, you can hold onto the receipt and show it at the next park that same day...if you move the car. You only have to pay to park once a day!!!
You can also get transportation to the other parks from each park. So, you could feasibly park at the TTC and then head to whatever park you want.
