One tip that has been posted many times on these boards. Its quicker to drive and park at all the parks except MK.
Its quicker to take the bus to the MK because you are dropped off right at the front gate instead of the TTC where you have to park, take a tram and then the monorail or a ferry to get to the front gate.
I plan to drive to all the parks. The one park I would be SURE not to miss driving to is MK. If you take the bus you miss the ride from TTC to MK by monorail. To me that is the first ride of MK and an important part of the Disney magic that I would not want to miss. Walt planned the parking lot at the TTC for a reason.
I may be in the minority but I take the bus to every park and always have. It is more relaxed for me to take the bus than to get stuck in the traffic and drive in and out of the parks. Plus I can't think of any park were driving yourself will put you closer to the front gate than taking the bus. If you are staying at any of the All Star Resorts however the bus has to make three stop to pick everyone up and can take a LONG time and be VERY cramped. But for instance at Pop and the other resorts you will be on a bus that lonely has the one stop to pick you up and drop you off.
For the me Buses are the way to go, but I do see and understand some of the reasons others say to drive.
We drove last year and stayed at WLR. We drove to AK, DD and the TTC. We took the bus to HS adn Epcot. But our favorite way to get to MK was by boat from the resort. That was also sometimes faster to do, then take the monorail to the TTC. Buses can be a long wait at times. We are going again in Aug. and will probably take the bus less. Use it if you hate to move your car from a good parking spot
Either way..it's nice to have the choice! Have a great trip
I agree with driving to MK transportation center. The first time we went to WDW, we checked in the hotel to get our tickets and headed straight to MK. There was something really special and exciting about taking that slow ride, via ferry, up to the MK. It was awesome.
We have a rental and we drive to every park. That's our plan for our upcoming trip in June. I just like being able to go when I feel like going and I don't want to wait around for a bus.
