Parking at the Dolphin

I could be wrong, but think that unless you are a resort guest with a parking pass, you will need to pay the $6 (or is it more?) per day for parking at WDW. Most of the resorts have restricted lots with guards and make sure that you are parking there either as a resort guest or going to a restaurant on-site (and then you will be allowed only to park for a 3-hr limit).

This was the case when we were there in March 2003.

sorry - should have been more clear- we are staying at the Dolphin. Is self-park free? How about Valet? How long a walk to self-park from resort?

Self parking is free. I don't know about the valet parking as we don't usually do it. The parking lot for the Dolphin is a bit of a walk away from the main entrance of the Dolphin. We would go inside the resort as soon as we saw a door and walked inside the building vs. the outside. It was a bit chilly while we were there in December. It wasn't bad though.
