Are we allowed to park at the Contemporary or Poly hotels if we are staying at anther disney hotel such as the Carribean BR? That way we can ride the monorail to the Kingdom and not have to worry about the hassle of parking in the normal parking lot?

Just a question to find out if others have done this b4. I have my current ressies at the Conteporary, but if the price doesnt go down we will be at the CBR.

:confused3

When we were there last year for Chef Mickey's, we were told by the guard that we could only stay for 3 hours if we weren't guests of the hotel.

That is what I thought... Thanks. I guess they know that there are some out there who WILL do this.

Even if we could, we probably wouldn't - my kids think the trams from the MK parking lot are too great to miss. ;)

why aren't you taking the CBR bus? They drop off at the enterance to MK so you wouldn't have to take the ferry or monorail.

I forgot all about the buses, but everytime we have gone we have dirven with our rental car. We thought that it made it easier but when we went to the MAGIC Xmas day we were shut out by a terential downpour of rain and it ruined our day trying to get back to the paking lot. The people were terrible and some even used thier kids to keep people from getting on the tram. That is the reason for the question. I will consider the buses and go from there.

Thanks!!

You can valet park at the monorail resorts. It's not very expensive. We've never had a problem with the Disney busses...except for the ones at WL. :earboy2:

CR's a nice resort...hope you get your discount. I remember when the tower rooms were $199 with the AP discount a few years ago. Now they're a LOT more expensive.

I would take the bus! I find it much easier and I drive to all other parks but MK.

Nope, can't park there for extended periods of time and ride the monorail even if you are staying at another resort. We tried it, saw the tow trucks there waiting and moved the car to the TTC.

We stayed at the YC in February and found that the bus to MK dropped you off closer than where the monorail does!

If you park at CR, you have to stop at Poly, TTC and then GF before MK. By the time you drive the little bit extra, park and then ride the monorail, you could have potenially been there by parking at TTC and taking the monorail express.

Are you saying you can valet park your car for the day at the Contemproary or the Polynesian, even if you're not staying there? I've never heard this.

If you were to valet your car at the resort you would have to lie to the guard at the entrance about having a PS or something so they would let you in so if you have to lie than that must mean that it is not Disney policy but people love to post ways around Disney rules in here all the time.

I am sure some CMs have suggested this to people but VERY often CMs tell people ways around the rules so that does not make it right.
