parking at the boardwalk

we are staying at bw courtesy of dvc we have stayed before but withut car this time with a car does the valet park and how far away from the room can you request a room that you can access your car without going to the front desk all the time, my dh is very protective of his hire car and likes to go and check every now and again we were at okw last year and he parked right by the room although we were on the 1st floor

There is both valet parking & self parking. The self parking is not real close to the entrance, you have to walk down the driveway past the bus stop. The valet parking lot is on the other side of the street, next to the pond.

You can't park near the rooms...all parking is well in front of the resort, so to check on car he would take a hike each time.
