Hi

I will go to Disneyworld this weekend. It will be my first trip, so I am still a newbie. I will stay at Wyndham Bonnet Creek and will use rental car.

I want to know if anyone here ever park the car at Swan and Dolphin or Contemporary Hotel and then take monorail or ferryboats to the park. Is it faster to get to the park if I park the car near monoral/ferryboats than park at theme park? How much does it cost for non-guest parking there?

Is there an alternative and cheaper way to park the car near Disney theme parks or near ferry/monorail? If not, I will have to park at Disney theme park at $14/day. Bonnet Creek have shuttle bus, but I travel with kid so I want to bring a car with me.

At the swan and dolphin you need to pay - even if staying at the hotel I'm afraid.

I don't mind to pay and I am non-registered guest so I know it is not free, but how much does it cost to park there? Is it much more convenient to park near ferryboats/monorail station?

You cannot park at any of the resort parking lots and then go to a theme park for the day. The resort lots, especially near the MK and Epcot are meant for people staying at those resorts or dining/shopping there. Often there will be a 3 hour limit for parking.

If you valet park at a hotel, you can leave your car all day. However valet is $12 plus tip so no savings over the parking lot fee.

When you go to the MK, park at the MK parking lot, then take the monorail or ferry to the park. The parking lots for the other parks are just outside their main entrance.

If you plan to park hop, save your receipt because you only have to pay once a day for parking.

IF you are going to a park, you are supposed to park in that theme park's parking lot...not in a nearby resort. You are allowed to park at a resort if you have business there...eating or shopping. You could pay to valet park (about the same as theme park parking) and then go to a park if you wish. But you are not supposed to park at the CR and then head over to the MK.

Is it faster?? Sure it is. But is it right? Nope. Resort parking is for those who are staying at that resort. So, you will have to budget in about $14 per day for parking. You can pay to park at the TTC and go to the MK and then move you car over to AK (for instance) later in the day and just show them your receipt...you pay only once each day.
