I know that as a resort guest, you have free parking at the resort you are staying at, as well as at the theme parks. However, can you drive to another WDW resort and park there?

Yes, of course you can. Sometimes the guard at the entrance to the hotel will ask to see your ID, sometimes not. Sometimes you will be given a 3hour parking pass, sometimes not. Go and have fun, enjoy exploring the different resorts.

It's more difficult to park at the monorail resorts, but you can usually be given a pass with a time to depart on it. We have parked at resorts by saying we just want to get out and look around. There was no problem.

It doesn't matter if you are staying at another Disney resort or not, you can always park at a resort if you have business there. Business is pretty broadly defined. You could be shopping, dining or even just looking around.

The only resort I was ever denied parking (even though I was staying at another Disney resort) was at the Boardwalk. The guard said they needed to reserve parking space for hotel guests staying there - guess there were too many visitors at that time.
