We have dinner reservations at 'Ohana and I was wondering can we park at the Poly or do we have to park in the MK lot. We are staying at the All Star Music and since we have a lot of jumping around to do this day (water parks, DTD, 'Ohana) we are going to use our own vehicle instead of Disney transportation. If we can park at the Poly should we bring a printout of our ressie or can the guard look it up.

Thanks in advance for the help

You can absolutely park at the Poly for Ohana! All you have to do is let the guard know you have a dining reservation, and they should give you a temporary (3 hour) parking pass for the Poly lot.

Have fun!

You can park at Poly if you want to. Since you are staying on property when you check in they will give you a paper to put in your car which will allow you to park at any of the parks for free. Whenever you are eating at other resorts all you have to do it tell the guard at the guard shack you are going to (fill in the blank) restaurant. They will not look anything up but may ask to see id, why is beyond me because Ive never seen them verify anything.

actually,PP's info is not correct: if it is a busy day (especially on weekends, even during slow times of year) they WILL check for your reservation, and if the parking lot at POLY is getting full they will turn you away if you are not a registered Poly hotel guest or not on the reservations print-out they have at the guard kiosk. We have eaten at Kona Cafe 3 times on weekend, and one time at 'ohana on a weekend...all 4 times, even though we had Disney hotel parking permit (for different Disney hotels) they still asked our names/and ID and also checked our name off on a list of reservations for the restaurants. One of those times there was a long line of cars backed up at the kiosk...we saw 3 cars actually turned away.

If you want to stay more than 3 hours, you can pay to valet park at the Polynesian...can leave your car as long as you like that way (no 3 hour limit when you pay to valet park...just have to pick car up before 6 AM next day, lol.)

You can also just park for free at the Transportation & Ticket Center...it's actually right next to the Polynesian Resort. So you can park there, take the tram to the drop-off area, then walk over to the Polynesian. About a 10 min. walk to the main building from the TTC

They do have lists of people with ADRs and people checking in that day at the guard shack. And they do check them. They don't need to give out passes anymore since the only cars in the Poly lot without a Poly parking pass are those of people not staying at the Poly and entrance times are known at the guard shack.

You can park for you ADR at Ohana, if space us available. But you can't park to go to MK and there is signage at the gate about that. The Poly lot is small and cannot handle theme park parking. The guests staying there have no other parking option really while visitors do have options like the TTC so people staying at the Poly have to be given priority.

Whenever my family and I drove to the Polynesian to eat at the Kona Island Sushi Bar we were never given a 3 hour parking pass. Plus since they don't accept ADR's we would not be on any type of list for them to look up our name. However we did have our parking pass from the Boardwalk Inn displayed and showed them one of our KTTW cards from there.
