***Ninja EDIT***Cant edit title. It is actually Royal Pacific Resort. Got it wrong in title.

Hey guys, long time lurker and reader here trying to find out some info.

Been planning this vacation for a bit now and pretty much have everything locked down, just want to budget for parking.

I purchased the AP preferred (the middle one) that gives you free parking (after 1st visit) so parking at US/IOA is free, but what about at RPR?

I am staying 3 days/2 nights at RPR and will be staying there the whole time, wont be leaving to get in the car at anytime those 3 days and was wondering if I still have to pay daily for parking at RPR or just park my car using the free AP parking pass. Looking at the rates, $18 a day thats almost $60 for the 3 days. Doesnt make sense when I get free parking at the parks.

So, does the AP cover parking at RPR, or does anyone have any tips to avoid that extra $60 when I should get free parking at the parks instead.

You'll have to pay for two night's parking. No way around it other than not bringing a car. Remember that Universal doesn't run its own hotels.

You wouldn't be able to leave the car overnight at the themepark parking lot, so there's no point in moving the car there.

The free parking we get as AP holders is at the themeparks. Which seems useless unless one day you're staying at WDW and get an urge to visit Universal (since the AP is burning a hole in your pocket) and you go over and boom, free parking at the parks. That's when it becomes useful to us. :)

And someday you'll stay at Universal withOUT a car, and then it will be bliss to not have parking fees secretly factored into your room rate (like they do at Disney).

Well that's what I suspected so you guys confirmed my thoughts. Thanks for the quick responses. This is nothing to concern myself about, I will still have the vacation of a lifetime.
