Parking at MK...can you leave and come back?

Title says it all.
We are only going to the park for one day and are driving/parking. We want to go back to the hotel late afternoon(naps) and come back for the night show/parade.

Do we have to pay the $8-9 parking fee again??

Just keep your reciept & you park at any of the parks that day.

you can come and go as you wish.

it is $9 per DAY (not park) - so you can go to any of WDW parks and not pay again.

They will give you a ticket to place on your dashboard that shows that you have paid. So you can come and go as you please.

forgot if you staying in a WDW resort parking is free. just put your wdw parking permit in the car.

It's per day.

Just so you know - the parking lot at MK is VERY far from the MK. You have to take a tram from the parking lot to Transportation and Ticket Center. Then you have to take a monorail to the MK. It will take you 30-40 minutes just to get back to your car. Then you have to drive back to your hotel. That's over an hour or more of travel time just so you can relax. To me that kind of traveling is stressful and tiring, and I avoid it when I can.

If you are staying on WDW property, may I suggest taking the resort buses that day. Or if you are staying off-site, consider have a relaxing lunch at a Monorail Resort.

I completely agree about saving SO MUCH time and effort by staying on WDW property but for this 3 day trip the hotel(a Mariott villa) is paid for so we can't complain about free lodging! Unfortunately they don't offer a shuttle service! We're only going to the park one day so we'll just have to deal with the trams this time!

We stayed a week last summer on property and LOVED the convenience!

When we went there on our honeymoon. It only took maybe 10 minutes to get back to our car by tram it was great!
