Parking at Grand Floridan

So in Sept we will be staying at the Grand. We have been several times before and had no problems with parking. Recently I have been seeing many stories about guests having to park across the street etc (saw these on Facebook that why I am asking here as i Know some Facebook stories can be let’s say unreliable). We like to drive to AK and Disney Springs when we are there but now I am getting concerned about parking. Has anyone been lately and had these issue or is this just for people dining there? We will be there on our DVC points and that parking lot is small

Stayed there last week over the 4th for a few days and had no problem parking in the Resort Guest section of the parking lot. I believe it’s people with dining reservations that they’re making park across the street atm and cross over due to the construction but I’m not sure if it’s going to be a permanent thing or not.

Yes, it's been people coming to dine in GF restaurants.

GF guests still have access to the self-parking lot.

Might be worth your money to you to use valet parking. No hassle finding a space. We stay in VGF1 and often find valet parking a real value because the VGF lot can be packed when there's a wedding at the chapel.

We had a dining reservation on 7/4 and they gave us a pass and had us park across the street. Happy to be allowed to park but crossing that street is dicey! I thought I'd read that it was being widened making a new official WDW entrance to the north.

Not exactly at VGF1. You leave your car with the GF valets and trek yourselves over to VGF1.

Upon arriving, bell services will load your bags onto a golf cart and schlep you and them over to VGF1. They've offered me a lift on the times when the VGF lot is mostly full, and I've dropped DH off at the entrance before running the car over to valet it. I usually thank them and hike it. A little more walking hasn't killed me yet.
