Parking at GF for dinner then on to MK

We plan on having dinner at the GF and then going to MK for MNSSHP. Can we valet park at the GF and then take the monorail to MK (without getting ticketed or towed)? Or, do we have to park at the TTC, monorail to GF and then on to MK? THX

Disney strongly discourages guests from parking at the monorail hotels and then going to the park. Disney wants to be sure there is ample parking for the guests who are staying at those hotels.

As you've no doubt heard/read, the monorail hotels often give out 3 hour parking passes. Although I have read a post or two reporting that cars exceeding their time have been towed, I have never heard of any problem whatsoever with a car that was valet parked.

If you want to be absolutely sure (and have a worry free, good time at MNSSHP), go ahead and park at the TTC and grab the monrail to the GF.

Enjoy the party!

Thanks Carol. I had hoped that if we valet parked they might let it slide, since we would still be paying for parking. TTC it is!

While I understand where Carol is coming from, my impression has been that if you're **valet** parking at a resort, staying a while longer will not be a problem, particularly since you will be at MK during what aren't regular park hours.

If you're doing a "classy dinner evening", I think the valet service adds a touch of class that the TTC doesn't. Under these circumstances, I don't think you'd be wrong to valet at the GF.

Valet at the GF if you want to. You won't have any problems and it won't cause a problem for anybody else.

Tracie, please report back what happens after it's all over. (If you can, post it in this thread. If we both subscribe to the thread, that will make the thread easy to find four months from now.)

My hunch is that the attendants may very well say "no" just out of habit, even though what you are describing really isn't a problem.

I may try valet and ask the attendant if it would be a problem to stay through MNSSHP.
That is always the best way to go. Ask, and if they say ok there is no way anyone can tell you it is wrong ;). If they say no - no harm, no foul and you head elsewhere.

Last year we asked the valet at GF if we could park there and go to the MK and they said if we paid for valet parking we could leave our car all day if we wanted. This does not interfere with regular guests parking because you are not taking one of their spots.

I have been a regular guest trying to valet park (have to for medical reasons) and the valet parking has been full as well.

You are going to the GF during an event and they may impose the 3hr. parking rule as well as let only people with confirmed PS in the gate. They may not but just wanted to give you a heads up, I would hate to have to move my car and park elswhere.
