Parking at Disney Hotels

Our kids will be going on the Pirate Cruise at GF. We were going to use our rental car to get there to save time. Will we be allowed to park there, and if so, is there any limit to how long we can stay in the parking lot. I figured once we were there, we might get a spa treatment or eat in one of GF's restaurants.

When we did 1900 Park Fare for breakfast around 10 days ago, we got a 3 hour permit to park there. The guard gave us a pass to put in the dash that had the date and time on it.

We also got a pass when we went to 1900 Park Faire. I don't think you should have any problems at all.

Is that true at all the resorts? We'll be staying at CR, but would like to drive over to spend an afternoon at AK(not a big bus fan- heard it's hard to get from resort to resort), then have a PS for dinner at one of the AKL restaurants. Will they let us park there for dinner if we have a PS?

The parking pass that is being handed out with a 3 hour limit is for the resorts like Poly, CR, Grand, BC/YC...the ones with access to the parks. They have discovered that folks are parking there and going to the parks leaving their cars at the resorts. Which makes it difficult for the resort guests because parking is limited.

But, if you're going to Coronado, or AKL...or some place that doesn't have park access...they don't bother with the pass.

Sorry PamNC, but I had a different experience. When we ate at Jiko, the AKL security guard gave us a parking pass with a time limit. I don't remember how long. They also wanted to look up our name at the gate for PS when we arrived. I think AKL is pretty strict about access, but they don't mind you visiting if you have business (like a PS) there.
