Parking at DAK after picking up rental car

I hope this hasn’t already been asked, but if it has I apologize, I did try to search

For our upcoming trip ( 4 days at AoA), we are flying and will not have a car. However on our checkout day, we will be picking up a car to use for the next part of our trip. Our options are to

1)wait until the end of the day and have our whole party of 5 trek over to the car care center, get the car, drive to AoA and pick up our stored bags before we move on
Or
2) have the driver go pick up the car around noon (as currently reserved) and drive the car back to AK, parking there and rejoining us. Still would have to return to AoA after and pick up our bags

Basically my question refers to scenario 2 - since we are staying onsite would we be able to park at AK free, or not since we won’t have a car linked to our resort for paid parking?

Resort guests park for free at the parks up through close of business on day of checkout, so option 2 should be just fine.

All privileges associated with being a Disney resort guest begin in the early AM on day of checkin and continue until COB on day of checkout! (Except for occupying the resort room, of course!)
