Parking at CR

I was wondering if we are staying on-site and have a car could we park at the CR and take the monarail to the MK. We are staying at the POFQ and he PS for chief Mickeys the night we plan to go to the MK.

Parking at the Contemporary is really tight. As such, parking is limited to those who are staying at the Contemporary, and those who have priority seatings at the restaurants. They will give you a 3 hour parking pass for that.

I would recommend parking at the Magic Kingdom parking lot, since you'll be going to the MK. Then, after dinner, you can take the Monorail back to your car.

But if you Valet your car I think you could leave it there. I have done that many times before!

Sure valet the car, pay the 6.00. Or, pay nothing to park in the lot, because you are an onsite guest.
To the OP, there is a great big sign that says parking is not allowed for the parks. I am sure you did not know this.
As another poster suggested, park your car in the lot an monorail to the Contemp and then back to your car. Much easier, much cheaper and you won't chance having your car towed.
