Is there a separate parking area for the villas? Was hoping there might be some parking closer than the regular lot. Even with a handicap spot, it can sometimes be quite a walk.

Thanks for the info. That may have made my decision to stay there. Or I should say, not stay there. We don't use the bus transportation except maybe for MK.
And it applies at all Disney resorts, not just the one you are staying at. So if you want to pool hop or see holiday decorations, for instance, you can valet park for free at any Disney hotel.
After all these years, how did I not know this? We've been members since early 2001. I must admit, that we usually stay at OKW, SSR or Kidani and we can park relatively close to our room. And it's only been the last few years that I've been disabled. We have used it a couple of times when we've had reservations for dinner if we couldn'find a handicap parking space.
When we travel with my dad, we always use the free valet parking. It's so much easier than dropping him off, park, and trying to haul kids up to the resort before he wanders off. It's a really nice perk Disney does for guests with disabilities.
I have to admit it really came in handy when we were running late for dinner ressies at Ohana!
That may vary based on what's going on at the resort because that was not the case when I was there last weekend. The security guard did direct me to the lot on the left by on the villas side. The valet selection is still blocked off by poles but if you drive all the way down to the end & turn right the section closest to the villas near the tennis courts & canal walking path was open for parking the entire time I was there.
