Parking at Boardwalk

If you are going to eat at Boardwalk can you park in the lot across the street without first going through security, or do they have to give you some type of pass to enter the lot?

If you are staying on property, they will look at your parking pass........sometimes they DO check the list of priority seatings.......either way, I think you must go thru security.
