On our last day, we will be eating at one of the epcot resorts. We are staying offsite, therefore will be driving there, and will need to park. Will we be able to leave our car at the resort while we tour world showcase?

Atrictly speaking, resort parking is for resort Guests only; anyone else, such as those dining at the resort or just having a look around, are limited to 3 hours. This is to prevent locals and off-site Guests from taking up all the parking spaces, making it more difficult for those who are paying to stay there to get a parking space.

The Epcot resorts are not as strict on this parking time limit as the monorail resorts, but any time you park at a WDW resort and leave your car more than 3 hours, you run the risk of having towed.

However, they are not so strict on the time limit if you valet park, so if you're going to be touring WS for a few hours before leaving for the airport, you can valet park at one of the resorts.

If you're going to be in the park all day, then you're going to have to move your car to the Epcot lot after breakfast.

I guess this is a risk, but I have never seen it enforced - at least, it's never happened to us and we've parked all day on countless occasions. We frequently park at the Beach Club and are often waved right in without security even asking any questions or handing out a 3 hour permit, though we do flash our DVC member card along with the photo ID.

Hot button topic alert!!!!!

It is against Disney rules to do this, and it is enforced. Threads like this have been filled many times and it always ends in tears. There are some people who have seen it or have been towed that do habituate these boards.

I'm sorry, and no offense intended. But please don't try to buck the system. If you are going to EPCOT, park where you are supposed to park.

No. You should move your car from the resort to the theme park per-Disney policy.

Question asked and answered.

Thanks,

Knox
