Parking and activating an AP

Usually I activate an AP at Downtown Disney so this isn't an issue, but...

I'm planning on activating my AP at Epcot this time. The exchange certificate has been linked to my MDE account, which is linked to my MagicBand. So my question is:

- Will I have to pay for parking then attempt to get reimbursed at Epcot Guest Relations when I activate the AP?
- Or, will they scan my MagicBand at the parking gate and see that there's an AP exchange certificate linked to it?
- I assume that if I have to pay, I should take the receipt card and bring it to Guest Relations with me for reimbursement, correct?

I've always just paid for parking and gotten reimbursement once inside the park at Guest Relations. You might try asking the parking attendant about it, but I never bothered.

Now that they are scanning magic bands for on-site guest parking at the parks, why not have them scan your band at the toll booth? If they scan and still ask you to pay, the fallback is to pay, get a receipt and get reimbursed at Guest Relations.

Ditto.

And, Double Ditto.
