Absolutely.

I read posts here to that effect nearly every day.


BUT, you can AVOID making an error like that if you simply
WAIT to PURCHASE those upgrades unless and until you actually NEED them (if ever.)

The cost is exactly the same no matter when you buy the upgrade,
so just wait until you decide you need one and/or the other before you pay for them.

You can upgrade tickets in a matter of minutes at all the parks, TTC, DTD, or at any of the WDW Resorts' Concierge desks.

Yup. I think to break even I needed two visits and I only used one. I'll buy it again though.

Yes! On our 1st trip we were there 9n/10d and I got both waterparks AND hoppers option. We only park hopped once! Hopping just was not worth it for us.

Loved WP option though, went to both WPs and Quest 2x. The thing about WPs is if you go to one during the day, you can then hit a theme park at night using a regular MYW ticket as this is not considered "hopping" This is what we are planning to do on our next trip!
