I know I was nervous about staying there so I thought I'd give my review. Although some people here have liked it, I was still nervous about all the negative reviews from the DIS.
We thought it was great. The boys were thrilled to have bunkbeds and not have to share a bed.
From reading here I expected:
The bunk room would be small. We thought it was great. There was room for all four of us to spread out our suitcases no problem. There wasn't a table, but they had a large breakfast area so we didn't need one. We had plenty of walking room around the queen.
The bunks would have no head room. My 12 and 14 year old had no problem on either bunk.
The breakfast would be paltry. They had toast, waffles, donuts, juice, fruit, milk, coffee, etc. We thought it was good for a continental breakfast.
The pool would be gross. This one I sort of agreed with. I didn't swim in it. My kids did with no problem though. The sides of the pool were painted a darker color and it kind of freaked me out because it looked yucky - it appeared to just be paint though.
The office would be unhelpful. We were treated politely and with efficiency.
Just posting my review so if you find a $72 a night rate in August like I did, you'll have another opinion. We wanted a reaonable budget bargain and we feel like we got a good deal.
