Well, I did it! I bought tickets to Disneyland! I've been to WDW many times but this time we're checking out DL and CA. We'll be there 6 nights in July, and while I would love to spend our entire trip at the Disneyland Hotel, I just can't swing that much $$ for this trip. So, I'm planning to book the first 4 nights somewhere CLOSE to the parks, since I don't plan on renting a car. Then we'll move to spend the last 2 nights at the Disneyland Hotel, to enjoy the renovated hotel and pool areas!

I've been looking at the Park Vue Inn, since it seems to be directly across from the park entrance and has good reviews on Tripadvisor. We don't need fancy, but we do require safe, clean and friendly! I'll be taking my 10 year old daughter, so I don't want to have to walk far in the dark after a long day at the parks.

Any experience with this hotel? Any other recommendations? They have breakfast, which is another point in it's favor. TIA!:cool1:

I think that is a great choice and will suit your needs well.

They also have a light dinner. They had water bottles and cookies in the lobby when we were there last August-Cold Stone is right there too!

The PVI property and Disneyland Resort property are basically seperated by a crosswalk....couldn't be any closer. And a lot of people use this crosswalk, so its very safe. You mentioned wanting clean, safe and friendly. We have stayed at the PVI and it has been all of the above. The breakfast is very decent and the pool is nice enough. How fun it will be to upgrade to the DL Hotel and use their pool!!! Have a great trip...
