Park Vue Inn - Any negatives?

So I have read about 20 threads now on the Park Vue Inn and only run across one bad report about a trip taken in 2007. Does anyone who stayed at Park Vue Inn in the past 1-2 years have anything bad to say about the place (bug stories, room in poor condition/disrepair, problems with being mis-charged or unfairly charged, poor customer service, that kind of stuff)? I'm really close to booking since we were thinking of trying something new, but we've gotten pretty comfortable with the same old, same old. We've stayed at HOJOs for 9 out of our last 10 trips. We are tempted though by the bunk beds, breakfast, and close location. Costs are about equal this time.

Yeah I have a problem with the so called "Park vue inn". You can barely even see the park from it. I think you'll enjoy the shorter walk.

I know it's not what you're asking, but I think Parkvue is awesome. I had food poisoning on the last day of our holiday, they were unfortunately booked out, so I couldn't extend another night, or book into another room, but let me lay on their lounge chair in the lobby the whole day, and didn't seem to mind me running into the bathroom every half hour.

I'll recommend them to anyone.

The hotel overall is really great. I am there right now! But, don't depend on the wifi too much. It doesn't work well. Half the time we can only get 2 bars and the other half we only get 3, so the internet works about 45% of the time. I get 4 bars from best western, but I don't have their password. You get 4 bars from the lobby.

It has been very quiet. After 9 there really isn't any noise. The breakfast has been great, although this morning it was really crowded and we had to sit outside in the very cold morning...they are having a cold spell.

You can see matterhorn, but that is about it. It is a VERY quick walk to the parks. You are literally across the street.

I am a bathroom snob, and I have to say the bathrooms are very clean. They do put in clean towels every day and clean the room around 1 pm so lunch in the room needs to be earlier or later.

I was concerned too, after staying on property at WDW, but I am a believer now. Except for the internet, the place is really great!

Thanks for the reassuring messages. It sounds like most people on this board who have tried Park Vue were happy with their experiences.

We will be there for the first time at the Park Vue on Saturday for 4 nights!! YEAH!

Maybe you've seen it, but this thread is by a poster who just stayed at the Park Vue inn.
