Park Vue, Desert Inn or Hojo?

I have a Hojo reservation with my AP discount but we are going March 29-April 3 and I know Desert Inn has an indoor pool. Any tips/suggestions regarding these 3. We have stayed at Hojo but not the others. All are coming out to about the same price.

I have stayed at Parkvue and loved it. Their bfst is good, not the regular cereal and bread, they have eggs, bacon, sausage, frenche toast, etc... in addition to the cereal, fresh fruit juice, coffee, etc... also, if you stay there they had...Not sure if they still do< but if it is your birthday they give you a coupon for an ice cream cake from the cold stone next door, and they will put a nice basket of stuff in your room. I am going to CA in July with my grandson and I will stay there again.

Also, if you are going with a family the queen/bunk bed rooms are good, if going with a SO the king/Jacuzzi room... well enough said.

I've stayed at Hojo and Park Vue, and would probably chose Park Vue again. While the room and bed was nice at Hojo, I liked the location more plus the free breakfast, which if you're looking at prices and the breakfast could be saving you $20-$80 per day, it adds up quickly.

We stayed at Park Vue this summer and this will be our go to place, the parking is free my kids loved the pool and the breakfast is amazing, I always try to find some place with free breakfast because it saves so much money and honestly my kids (5&6) complained about having to walk from the parks to Park Vue I would have never heard the end of it if they had to walk all the way down to Hojo

I can't comment on HoJo or Desert Inn, but I have stayed at the Park Vue and liked it. It's a pretty basic room, but the free breakfast saved some $$ and the walk to and from Disneyland was the best part.

We've stayed at the Desert Inn, and I absolutely loved being so close to the park. With young kids and a stroller, the shuttle can be difficult at the end of the night. The pool is indoor, but leaves much to be desired. It's also near the main entrance, so you kinda feel like a fish in a tank to the rest of the guests coming and going, which there is a lot of. Breakfast is about as basic and cheap as you can get. Cold cereal, juice and very cheap pastries, nothing hot.

If you don't plan on using the pool and want to b-fast in the park, it's great, location is unbeatable. Rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable enough. We had a fine stay here, I didn't have any major complaints, we swam once and had the breakfast each day, overall it was fine. If location is the priority, stay here, but if you want a decent breakfast and a swim day, look elsewhere.

I have stayed Desert Inn, last year. It's in a great location and yes you have the indoor heated pool if you want a dip when its a bit cooler to relax those muscles from all the walking. Its not flashy but clean, good sized rooms, free breakfast (basic but gets you started), free wi-fi, laundry room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again - we had the parlour suite - you get a little lounge room with a sofa and an extra tv.

I've stayed in all three several times. Hojo used to be a great economical option, but the discounts dried up and I would rather have a shorter walk. Park Vue is nice. The breakfast is an added plus, but lately their rate is an average of $50 more a night than Desert Inn. DI gets my top vote.

I would rather save on the rate. We usually stay four or five nights, which saves us at least $200 over Park Vue. That's enough for breakfast elsewhere, including a sit down at Carnation Cafe, one of our favorite breakfast spots.

I should point out that I usually book DI through Orbitz. The starting rate is usually lower than the DI website and there is usually a coupon code to be found online.

My vote goes to Park View Inn because of its proximity to the main gates and it's better free breakfast.

Hopefully this is okay for me to ask in this thread. For those that have stayed at Park Vue, how spacious are queen with bunk bed rooms? We are looking at that hotel (due to reccomendations on here) and we have a 2.5yr old and an infant we will need a crib for.
Would you say a 2 queen or a queen and bunk bed would be better?

There is definitely more space in the 2 queen. I've only peeked inside an empty 1 queen/bunk while it was being cleaned, I haven't stayed in one. It was quite small with the bunk over toward the bathroom area. I think it would be tough to add a crib and a stroller.

I have stayed in the 2 queen/bunk, which worked fine for my family of 5, we loved Park Vue.

Are you using the 15-20% off promo codes that Orbitz typically has? I've never seen DI be "promo code eligible" on Orbitz. I'd love to save a bit and earn orbucks.

A two person queen isn't quite as spacious as a queen and bunks but either is perfectly usable.
