My family and I are planning a trip this June 20-28 and are staying "home" in a dedicated 2 bedroom villa at BCV. I recently heard you can request a "park view", and can either see HS or EPCOT (minor view of fireworks) from the highter floors. So of course, I have to ask:

1 Is this true? I was under the impression villas don't have views of the parks or BW.

2. Is it also true the 4th floor rooms have the best views?

I'm so confused :confused3.

Thanks in advance!!!

There is no such thing as park view. I can't imagine you could ever see anything from DhS from BCV. Besides, they don't have fireworks, just Fantasmic, unless you are there on NYE. You can ask for a woods view, facing Epcot, as a request. Only the higher floors in some of those views stand any chance if seeing anything from Epcot.

That is what I thought! For a minute there, I thought I was missing out on something..lol!

Thanks so much!

BCV isn't known for it's views. If you are on the Epcot side you are above a road or next to the service area. Pool view has a parking lot beyond the pool, woods view is trees and marshland, courtyard is the main BCV entrance and the portico where the Valet and DME buses load and unload.

:earsboy: Bill

Thank you, that does help me alot. It seems like the higher the floor, the better the view...is that a correct assumption?

Thanks again! Everyone on DIS boards are always so helpful!!!!!:grouphug:

If you are on the Epcot side, you will be able to see fireworks from Illuminations, but it's not a great view.

You might also not be able to see anything, but hear all the noise from the fireworks. That's what we had from the woods view.

We did have a view of the fireworks, but it was a little odd to watch them that way. You would see a few at the start of the show and then had to wait about 10 minutes until the finale. I can't remember exactly what room we had, but I think it was on the third floor right next to a maid's closet. It was a studio. The funny thing is that since the room was next to the closet, it had a massive balcony. I think the balcony was bigger than the room :)

I believe ours was Room 475. Directly across from our balcony we had a partial view of SE and The Land Pavilion.

By looking to our right, we could watch the fireworks portions of Illuminations above the trees. It was more like two small fireworks shows with an intermission between them.

We didn't anticipate being able to see anything and were pleasantly surprised by the view and we enjoyed watching the fireworks from the balcony the very first night, and again later in the trip.

Park view at BCV reminds me of the woman checking in at BC years ago SCREAMING at the CM that her TA promised her an "OCEAN VIEW" because it was the BEACH CLUB. Poor CM was really struggling to be nice while explaining that Orlando was not near an ocean. Woman would have none of it and kept going on about all the gurantees her TA had made LOL!

This was our view from the 4th floor last trip. :)

The view of the fireworks from our room:

We couldn't see a ton but seeing Spaceship Earth every night before bed, seeing the higher fireworks from Illuminations, and being able to hear the music from World Showcase was wonderful. I'd stay in our room again in a heartbeat if possible! :goodvibes

I wouldn't count on the view from BCV. We're owners and love the place, but have never gotten a view that was worth worrying about. Our best view happened to be on one side of the pool, far enough away to be quiet but close enough to see it. Most of the time we look at trees. We use BCV for other reasons: the barefoot ambience, proximity to Epcot and dining.

that's funny. :beach:

Just returned from a 5th floor studio...561. Very convenient to the elevator, quiet pool...AND we could be in bed and watch the 'high' fireworks. Noise from the balcony (street side) was pretty bad if you were sitting there in the morning...normal size balcony.

Yes, I think that's true. I was at BCV 2 weeks ago, on the second floor (studio) then a third floor 1 BR. I couldn't see beyond the trees in front of me. However, in previous stays on the fourth or fifth floor we've been able to see the tops of WS buildings and the top of the BWV.
