We are at HR for 6 days and I can't seem to find a ticket longer than 4 days - is this corret?

If so my best bet may be 2 of the 3 day costco tickets at 144 - especially since they dont' expire until 12/15 in case we take a day off from the parks.

Am I missing something -is there a 5 or 6 day ticket at a better discount?
Thanks

You have a few options. 1) You could get an annual pass which also provides discounts for onsite hotel rooms and on food and merchandise (if you get at least the preferred pass). 2) You could get the 3-Day Unlimited Pass through Undercover Tourist which gives you unlimited admission to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure & Wet & Wild. It's good for 14 days. 3) You could get the Olrando FlexTicket (also through Undercover Tourist) which includes unlimited admission for 14 days to Aquatica, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, SeaWorld & Wet & Wild. The Plus version of this pass also includes Busch Gardens.

Option 1 or 2 would be your best bet if you're looking to spend your days mostly at Universal & IoA.

Thanks - I totally missed the power pass and couldn't find regular pricing only Florida resident pricing on the annual passes!
I guess I have to figure out if we will be back within a year or if the option to use the Costco tickets until 2015 makes more sense.

Why is this hard to find? The info below is right here on Disboards.com under Universal tickets. Cost is $179.99 plus tax for 14 days unlimited use. Children cheaper.

3 Park Unlimited
The 3-Park Unlimited Ticket entitles one (1) guest admission to BOTH Universal Studios Florida® AND Islands of Adventure® on the same day for the duration of the base ticket. Ticket is valid for any fourteen (14) calendar days during a fourteen (14) consecutive calendar day period which includes the first day any portion of the ticket is used. This ticket also includes fourteen (14) consecutive calendar days of admission to the paid entertainment venues of Universal CityWalk® which commences and includes the first day any portion of the ticket is used. The Wet 'n Wild® option entitles one (1) guest admission to Wet 'n Wild for the duration of the Universal Orlando portion of the ticket.

I didn't say it was hard to find? I said I missed it!

I don't need 3 parks or 14 days! I only need 6 days so I am now deciding between 6 days via costco tickets that don't expire until 2015, one of the annual passes or the pass you quoted below.

The 3 park - 14 day pass is cheaper than the power pass. However, if you think you might go twice this year, the power pass is an awesome savings. The power pass doesn't give you any discounts. The preferred pass does. When are you going? You can check to see if there are hotel discounts available for that time by using the code APH on the website http://www.loewshotels.com/en/booking/uo?hotel=UEPBH,UEHRH,UERPR

The Costco tickets are great if you are thinking of going for single days over the next three years but they are only 3 days each and get pretty pricey if you are purchasing them in addition to another ticket.

Like you said, you've really got to decide what is best with your future plans.

Thanks - I do see a pretty good discount for my dates which makes my decision even more complicated :)

I may do the preferred for me and the power for my dd's. Now to check the calendar and crunch the #'s.

Appreciate the help !

Make sure you book the hotel at that rate before you actually purchase the preferred pass, just in case those rooms get sold out and you purchased the pass for nothing. You don't actually need to have purchased the pass to make the booking. You can pick up the pass at the park and then show the front desk if they ask for it.

Make sure you check out the blackout dates on the power pass. Your daughters pass may not cover your trip dates.

I doubt you will want to go to the park 6 days in a row, if you buy a 4 day pass you can use it spread over the time period you will be there. I think the pass is valid for up to 14 days after activated, so you can take a break inbetween visits and not worry about having 6 day passes. We usually go two days in a row, skip a day and then go back two more days in a row with our 4 day passes.

It still all depends on what visits you plan to do. Buying 2 3-day 2-park Costco tickets (6 days total) costs $300, buying 1 14-day 3-park ticket costs $180 which is about the same as an annual power pass (which has block-out dates).

So, your decision is when are your trips? And for how long each? Are the dates within the block-out power pass dates? Are your trips 6 months apart or 13 months apart?

My suggestion...if you do not have firm plans on future trips, buy the ticket that is cheapest for the one trip you have plans for and worry about tickets for a future trip later. Don't forget, you want fun, not anxiety.

Yes - this is all running through my head.....

We travel to the area fairly often (at least 4/5x a year) to visit family and vacation so a day on a ticket good to 2015 would not be wasted however it may not be cost efficient. Already have AP's for Disney but kids are really enjoying Universal and IOA lately and I love the hotels and the close proximity to the parks at US.

I do think we will pop into a park all 6 days even if it is just for the morning or evening hours for a quick ride or a butterbeer !!

I have to double check the powerpass but I didn't see any of our dates blacked out at first glance.

Thanks for the help everyone!
