Has anyone purchased park tickets through way.com? I've never heard of that site but Way is like $7 cheaper than aRes travel, which is the site I was planning to purchase my tickets through originally because of Mousesavers. Any reviews on these two sites?

I just looked at aRes today and was pleased to see we could save $71 and was going to ask if anyone had bad experiences. Now I'm curios to know what others say about way.com. Off to check out their pricing now! $7 is $7 right, that's one more corn dog!!!

Honestly I read a very scary report on way.com here on the dis board some one went though them and Disney basically deleted there tickets. I am not sure if they ever got there money back. Until I hear back from that poster I will warn ppl against way.com or until some one from dis baord (figment, Sherry, tom) Ppl who post here all the time. If they come on saying they are ok then I will stop warning ppl. I however will stick with getaway.com Disney, or dis boards company.

Hello Ofred, maybe you had an ok experience with them. That's grate i'm glade it worked out for you. The people I mentioned above are trusted members who have tons of posts. Once they say its oke'd site ill be all for advertising for way.com again. Until then I have to speak up and advise ppl on what I have read on here. I would hate the op to buy her tickets on way.com go to the booth and then find she has no tickets to get in the parks. That is all I am doing here.

Read through this thread.... years of happy users through way.com from people who reported back AFTER their trip, having used their tickets with success. After reading through the thread I decided to get my tickets through them. I did use my credit card so that IF (and I stress IF) I had to, I could report the charge as fraudulent and get my money returned. BUT that does not seem to be an issue.

:goodvibes

Also, getawaytoday.com will match way.com's prices if you have concerns.

ok you posted the post i was looking for.
I just purchased 2-day park hopper Disney tickets from way.com. I received the confirmation email and printed the tickets. I had read on the boards where people said to call Disney and give them the confirmation number to make sure the tickets were okay. I did this a few mins. ago and the CM at Disney asked for my name and address, put me on hold 4 times and came back and said his supervisor had canceled these tickets because they were not legitimate and to call my credit card company for a refund. They also asked me how I purchased the tickets and when I said I used a credit card, he said they show they were purchased with a gift card, so I assume way.com must do that in order to issue the tickets. What a mess this is now. I called way.com and am waiting to hear back from them. Disney said when they canceled my order, the money was being refunded to the gift card, so basically to way.com. I hope my credit card company will refund me the money and that this can be straightened out. I have 5 weeks to go before we leave on vacation so at least I have time to deal with it. I don't know now if I try to repurchase them, if Disney will have my info on file and will invalidate the tickets. Has anyone else had this experience?

this is the post that made me question way.com

I also had no problems with way.com. Sounds like perhaps the incident above was an isolated one.

(I used them in November for 4 3 day tickets)

I have used Ares with success more than once. You print out a voucher at home and take it to the ticket booth. It was easy and no questions or problems! I've never seen a negative comment about them on these boards. Maybe a little security is worth $7? There's also cheaptickets.com(run by Orbitz) which actually comes out to only about $2 cheaper than Ares...Haven't used them before though.

this is the post that made me question way.com

This post was followed up and everything worked out ok

I see that now she did say it worked out. I my self would still be careful but guess since that one time worked out. I will retract that post as my go to. I will just say "buyer beware and wish them luck if they chose to buy from way.com.

We used aRes last October 2014, for 5 tickets (4 tickets, then one more). We received a voucher via e-mail almost immediately. We took the vouchers to the Ticket booth, and had our 5 day park hopper passes in less than 5 minutes.

Make sure that everyone is at the ticket booth when you get your tickets, because they want to see everyone that is named on the voucher..

I was impressed with the price (got 5 day hoppers for the price of 4 day hoppers) and the ease of getting our tickets, plus we got the tickets at the old price vs the increased price.
