Has anyone here ever used an "outside" source to get discount park tickets?
Like, Undercover Tourist or something like that?

We're making our first trip "home" next year and someone DH works with mentioned getting discount tickets from an outside source.

Is this generally frowned upon? Will we just have different park tickets / room keys?

Any info you can provide is appreciated!

I don't think it's frowned upon at all. Disney sells those tickets at a discount to resellers so that can resell them. Make sure you use an authorized ticket reseller like Undercover Tourist or Maple Leaf Tickets. Don't buy tix from ebay or from any stands in Florida.

For UT you get actual Disney park tickets and you can have them added to your KTTW card if you want to.

Thanks!

I'll see what UT charges, so I can have it all on one card.
I was worried about having to keep track of tickets AND room keys - not a big deal I know, but the less to worry about on vacation the better!

I have used UT many times and ML once. Both are the way to go. We personally get the 10 day non expiring tickets. Costs more upfront but they last at least 3 trips and sometimes we can use them for 4 trips if we have less park days on shorter visits. Enjoy your first trip home!

We used UT and had no problems whatsoever. We upgraded to APs once there, so we had to have separate tickets from our room keys; still, I've heard the hotel is more than willing to add the park tickets to the KTTW card. Also, before purchasing, you might want to sign up for the Mousesavers newsletter. UT offers extra savings to Mousesavers' readers.

We have used a couple but lately we have settled on UT. I don't know why it would be frowned on. I believe they buy these tickets directly from Disney...smjj

We have used UT twice and received the tickets very quickly. Also had no problem having them added to our room keys at check-in!

I also like to get the 10 day non-expiring tickets from UT. You can get 10 water park visits for only $54 more. We don't go to a theme park on the days that we go to a water park so they definitely last us for several vacations.

This is what we do. We figure we have avoided 3 price increases at least. This next trip coming up will probably do us in and we will need to buy more before we go again...smjj
