We've been looking for Park tickets for out trip in August and noticed that you can buy a Real Deal ticket that covers all the Disney Parks /Universal/IOA/Seaworld. It says just pay once a day for parking, does that mean if you pay at Disney then hop over to Universal you don't pay again or does that only apply if you're hopping between Disney parks. Just wondering if anyone has used this ticket and could answer my question.

Just reading the description of it and it's just telling you that you still need to pay for parking, which would mean pay once all day to hop between Disney parks, but you'd still pay for Universal parking :)

:goodvibes

The real Deal ticket is not a ticket. Its 2 seperate tickets sold to you together under a name they have made up.

You will see its a Disney ticket and a Universal/Seaworld(Flex) ticket you are buying.
At one time Thomson holidays were doing these and selling them for more than buying seperate, not done the sums recently, double check the price is good. You might be better buying separate or totally different tickets might be more suitabale for your needs.
The write up is misleading, can't see it is possible to get parking at Disney after paying Univeral (or visa versa)

Thanks Wayne I thought it doubtful that Disney and Universal would let you park and not pay. Didn't realise that it was two separate tickets, it works out about the same as a Disney pass and flexi ticket but hoped to save afew pennies on parking. We may buy annual passes for Universal/IOA and Seaworld instead as we will visit again within 12 months.

If going twice within 12 months seriously look at AP's. They save us a small fortune.
Sometimes its worth everyone buying AP, sometimes just 1 member of the family to get free parking and discounts rest getting regular tickets. Get teh calc out, lots of number crunching:rotfl:

Hadn't thought about Annual Passes until this week, do we buy before we go or when we get there? Are they activated on your first visit or when you perchase - sorry to ask so many questions

You can buy when you get there or online.
Disney are activated on arrival, no discounts online.
Seaworld sometimes have online discounts but I believe valid from purchase now(used to be on 1st use) If discounts online buy just before you leave.
Universal again sometimes discounts but doubt it this year with Harry Potter world opening, they have just increased all tickets incl AP, we paid $110+tax last year to renew, gone upto $150 this year but 1st year is more expensive. Not sure when they are activated, might be as well sending an email off to them or asking on Universal part of DIS.

Ask all the questions you want, thats why we are here.:thumbsup2

Has anyone calculated the break even point for an annual pass - is it only worth it for two trips?

There are so many different ticket options its almost impossible to work out for everyone and every park, each person really neds to llok at their own options.
All ears have a piece on it here http://allears.net/pl/breakeven.php

Sometimes just getting a room rate can be worth it but then maybe not for everyone, just 1 will be enough.

For Seaworld & Busch we usually buy 2 year passes, they work out even cheaper than the 1 year AP. Ours have expired so need to start soon to look at our options for Easter.
