Park Tickets

On previous visits we have brought our park tickets from Virgin Holidays when booking our holiday. We then used the room key to get into the parks. This year we are thinking about waiting and buying tickets at our resort. Will it go on our room key like before? (hope this makes sense)

I am not sure, are you staying at a Disney property?

To be honest there are so many places where you can buy tickets now, and you could save a few $ if you shop around perhaps.

We are staying at AKL. We plan to buy our tickets at the hotel however if they are separate from our room key then we will prob get them from virgin.

You will be able to get them cheaper than through Virgin if you search the boards there are lots of websites recommended

I would not wait to book them at the resort personally, you won't save any money and you may find one of the ticket options designed for UK guests suits you best (and can only be pre-purchased in the UK)

Thank for all your help so far and i think i will look into tickets a little more. What id really like to know is do your tickets still go on your resort room key card?

Im not sure if they still do this, I know the first year I went they did, but since then I have always purchased the 10 day ticket or now they ultimate ticket and we have never been able to have that added to our room key, well not that I know of.

That's a shame if they dont still put it on the room key, it meant everything was on one card. Last year we brought the Ultimate ticket from Virgin Holidays and it was put on our room keys. So far it works out £30 cheaper to buy them at the hotel compared to the ultimate ticket from virgin holidays (we get a 10% discount from virgin that's why there's not much difference). With the ultimate ticket you do get more for your money but then we only need 9 days park hopping and 1 day water park.
