Park tickets through Undercover Tourist

Hey all!
I need your help to ease my skeptical mind.

We get the Mousavers Newsletter. I usually don't even check ticket prices through their link to UT because we typically only do 2 park days when we vacation. The minimum they sell are 3 day tickets. So, we've got friends coming with us this year (family of 4, first time) and they want to do 2 day Hoppers and try all 4 parks in 2 days. Thats too much for us these days and I think it COULD be too much for them. I think they are going to be overwhelmed as it is. It occured to me to check UT prices on 3 or 4 day MYW tickets. Right now they have 6 day MYW tickets for the price of 3 day tickets. Too good to be true??? I'm usually not a glass half empty person but my skeptical side is showing. Undercover Tourist is legit, I know, but hopefully you folks can make me a little more comfortable purchasing these from UT. The differences in the prices between UT and Disney directly are substantial when comparing apples to apples. Here is what I have:

A 2 day Hopper for 3 Adult, 1 Child thru Disney $862 (tax inc.)
6 day MYW (no hopping) for same family thru UT $868 (tax inc.)
6 day MYW (no hopping) for same family thru Disney $949 (tax inc.)

The 6 day still accomplishes same goal of all 4 parks, just 1 per day, which is ok with everyone.

2 questions:
#1) I assume I can buy tickets (UT) for ALL of us and pick them up myself in Orlando? We actually arrive a day earlier than friends.
#2) Are MYW tickets tied to length of stay any longer? Our friends are in for 5 days, 6 for the two of us. I'm not worried about wasting a day on the tickets. After all, 3 days are free! The upgrade from 3 days to 6 days is automatic at Undercover Tourist. So they have a 5 day stay but will have a 6 day ticket. Is this okay?

Sorry so wordy but I just can't seem to get my mind around this. Am I missing something??????

Thanks for any advice/opinions!

UT is totally legit. Keep in mind that after day 3 or 4, ticket days only cost about $3 each, so buy 3 get 3 free is only about a $9 discount. Disney ticket prices are very heavily front-loaded to get you to stay in the parks for more days.

Tickets are not tied to length of stay at all. You can use your tickets within 14 days of first use.

They do have an Orlando p/u location, but I don't know anything about that.

I have bought from UT before and the tickets came in the mail in a very reasonable amount of time.Their prices were soo much better.I'm not sure about picking them up in Orlando but i'm sure there must be a FAQ about that on the website or maybe someone here can answer. But from your post I wasn't sure if you were planning on buying the 6day no hopping and still wanting to visit 2 parks in 1 day.No matter how many days you buy unless you have the hopping option it is 1 park/day.You can't combine park days into one day.
Park days are not tied into length of stay. You can buy as many days as you like but they will expire 14(i think) days after they are first used unless you pay for the no expiration option.

I've been using them for a couple of years and am very pleased with both the service and the savings! :thumbsup2 I've recommended them to friends (guests) of mine, and no one had any problems, regardless of where they lived. :goodvibes

I've bought tickets via UT in the past and the experience was great. I recall they had a deliver to hotel option back when we purchased as that is what we used -- we had an in person delivery to the Beach Club during our visit; I just checked its website and it doesn't appear to be an option any longer.

I just bought tickets for our Dec trip from UT. I ordered on Wednesday - had my 6 day ticket waiting for me in the office today. It was a 6 day ticket on the back - so just what I ordered. I've ordered from them in the past, no trouble.

We ordered from them in September and were very pleased. They are cheaper than WDW if for no other reason, than they don't charge tax or shipping. We intend to do the 10 day no-expiration date ticket next and hope to get 2 trips out of them.

Every little bit you save is money in your pocket.

A friend has used for years also, and had not problems.

WOW, you guys are the best. So fast. We're starting to feel a little better.

Please keep the opinions coming. We'll probably pull the trigger tonight!

Speaking of tonight, anyone know if these prices change QUICKLY on Undercover Tourist, particularly this buy 3 days get 3 days free?? I hope we don't miss out!

You should have pulled the trigger, because the prices just went up.
MYW (6 day) 3*$230.95 + 1*$197.95 = $890.80

I just bought some MYW (7 day) before lunch PST and got the lower price.
4 * Adult ($229.95) = $919.80 vs 4 * Adult ($235.95) = $943.80

We use UT and have never had an issue with them.We purchased the tickets we have now from them. We paid on a Sunday and had our tickets on Wednesday. They come in individual plastic wrap and as long as the plastic is not removed they are returnable. One suggestion we got from someone on the DIS was to copy the front and back of the tickets. That way if they are lost they can be replaced by showing your copies. Not sure if that is correct but we have done it every time and luckily have not needed it. Do not worry about UT they are completely above board.

Use them all the time if I'm not purchasing annual passes.

Is it cheaper to purchase annual passes through Undercover Tourist or DVC member services?
We have booked two trip in 2010. One in January which 10 days long and the other in October which 8 days long. I am thinking the annual pass would be the best option right?

DVC member services (via the online link), you can't get the $100 discount from UT.

Sorry mfortis, I should have been more clear at the beginning. This is through a "special" link in the monthly newsletter from Mousesavers.com. The tickets are 5 bucks cheaper than you show.

Does anyone know if you can buy multiple-day tickets from UT and then have those tickets attached to your room key?

We were going to buy 3 day MYW tickets from Disney for our last trip but ordered through MouseSavers (UT) because 6 day passes there were cheaper than the 3 through Disney. I am so glad I did! They arrived promptly and were in plastic...brand new, which I know is what scares some people.
Having the extra 3 days allowed us to slow down and not feel like we had to cram everything into 3 days. It was also nice to not feel guilty about not getting our moneys worth if we left the park for a few hours to rest or swim.
We were able to stop at DHS on our way out of town (we drove) and spend 2 or 3 hours doing our favorites again and hitting a couple of things we missed.

Have a great time!!!

Ordered my tickets yesterday from UT and got shipping confirmation today with tracking number. I live in Cali and leave for Florida on Sunday so I ordered them overnight. Should be here tomorrow.

Also, thanks for the tip on adding them to our hotel room key. That will easy the burden  of having to track a room key and a ticket for each person in our group.

No ticket brokers sell annual passes. Those can only be purchased directly from Disney.

You do not have to buy through Member Services. You can buy on site at any ticket booth/guest relations desk that sells them and if you have the proper ID, you will get the DVC discount.
