Park tickets through member services??

I see you get a discount for pre purchasing park tickets.
We are leaving weds.They will not arrive in mail by then
On the website it states you can buy and have the tickets tied in to room ressies.If you are staying at select resorts
When I called w-disney they seemed confused about vacation club.
They tod me to call member services.
Has any one done this.
I want to get the discount.

When you check into the DVC resort at WDW you purchase the tickets through the front desk, receive the discount, and the park pass is your room key.

Are you talking about UPH (length of stay) or regular park hoppers?

There is no discount on regular park hoppers or APs purchased at the resort. For the UPH, the DVC discount you receive at check-in is the same as the pre-purchase discount...so it doesn't matter about pre-purchasing that one.

we were looking at reg park hoppers.
Can i pre order these with my reservation and have them waiting when i check in.
As i understand it If you have a reservation at a resort you can order online recieve a discount and when you check in they will be on your account.

I don't believe that is true.

The DVC Member discount of 10% on the UPH tickets is slightly more than the discount for purchasing UPH tickets in advance. However, note that you may not purchase UPH tickets in advance if you are staying on points.

Also, when you purchase UPH tickets in advance, you must purchase them for the entire length of stay. You cannot drop the arrival day or departure day. When you purchase UPH tickets at a DVC resort, you are allowed to drop the arrival day or the deoparture day and sometimes, both. Depending on your situation, this can result in quite a savings.

Your understanding only applies to UPH (Ultimate Park Hopper) tickets. These were formerly known as Length of Stay tickets.

As far as I know, there is no way to order "regular" park tickets in advance and have them on your room key/resort ID. To do that, you must purchase the tickets at the resort and pay the gate price.

As already posted, there is no DVC member discount for "regular" park hopper or park hopper plus tickets.

There is a "will call" option for purchasing park hoppers in advance. Tickets can be picked up starting the day after your order. Upon arrival at WDW, pick up your will call ticket order at one of the following ticket sales locations: Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney-MGM Studios or the Ticket and Transportation Center. You will need to present your confirmation along with a valid photo ID (e.g. driver's license, passport, or military ID), at any ticket sales location at one of these parks.

I think what Dano is referring to is now called an advanced purchase discount, I check on the WDW website, a 5 day park hopper plus ticket costs $282.00 at the gate, but if you purchase it in advance on line, its $259.00, a savings of 23.00, I think her question is can she do this and then pick them up in person?

Dano - I would call directly and ask, that is a 8-9% savings, and that is for anyone purchasing online before their trip, not just for DVC members, DVC members only get the UPH discount and the availablity to drop first and or last day, which really works out to be a huge savings.

Don't forget to include 6.5% sales tax on your passes. Sales tax is added at checkout when you order online.

As others have mentioned there is no DVC on the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus passes. If you have a local Disney Store near you though you can buy Park Hopper and Park Hopper Plus passes there and you can get the advance purchase discount.
