My sister and her family are wanting to go WDW between Christmas and New Year. They want to buy their tickets before they go but are afraid the parks will be filled to capacity and they will not be able to use their tickets. Do the parks fill up to capacity a lot during this time of year? If they don't use their tickets are they out their money or can they get a refund?

TIA

Yes, the parks fill to capacity and sometimes guests are turned away. Is your sister staying in a Disney hotel? If so, the family will be advised which park is still open. I think last year the Magic Kingdom was closed for part of the day everyday between Christmas day to NY's day. If they buy park hopper tickets they can use them any time in the future since they don't expire. If they buy the ultimate park hoppers they will expire when they check out of the hotel onsite. There are no refunds for passes.
