We're  over how long tickets last !

Can anyone advise us on what tickets we can but NOW, and still use come end of Jan/start of Feb 2003, to save money on them before they are put up for the 2003 season. This will be for the average family - 2 adults and 2 children.

We are looking at the following tickets :
4 days in Disneys major Theme parks - Magic Kingdom, MGM, Animal Kingdon + 1 day again in one of the 3.
Universals - Islands of Adventure.
Discovery Cove 1 day - which gives us 7 consectutive days access to SeaWorld, which we are hoping to visit at least twice.
Gatorland.
Some sort of Water park.
Lastly - some sort of swamp boat ride.

Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated. :)

5 day Park Hopper Plus tickets will get you 5 days of Disney parks plus two options which can be used for the Disney water parks or Pleasure Island. These tickets never expire.

For Universal/IOA, there is currently a ticket which is the cost of two days but gives you a 3rd day free.

Try Ticket Mania or Florida Orlando Tickets for discount prices etc.

Boggy Creek Airboats is supposed to be good but we did not have time to try it. When you get there, you can easily get coupons giving discounts on Boggy Creek Airboats and Gatorland so no need to book these ahead or pay full price.

You can certainly buy them now and use them when you want - the only exception to that is sometimes there is a special offer for a limited period on WDW passes through certain agents which may stipulate that they have to be used within a certain timeframe, but I don't know of any right now.

Discovery Cove you can book now but you would, of course, need to book the date you wish to spend there, and they have their own cancellation policy which you can see on their website.

As Richard says it isn't worth buying the airboat tour tickets in advance.

I'd check out the links Richard has given plus Universal's and Sea World's own sites.

There is also a 4 Day Park Hopper Pass which does not include the Disney water parks, giving you unlimited access to the four main parks for four days and 'hoppability' - you just need a hand-stamp before you exit a park to re-enter another or the same park on the same day.

One other thing worth mentioning about Discovery Cove is that you do not have to pay in full when you book. It is not very obvious (in fact it is well hidden) but there is an option to pay a deposit when you book and the rest about 8 weeks before you go.

Towards the end of the on-line booking process look for a 'payment options' button and that will give you the options.

you might get discounts on your tickets through your bank loyalties schemes if you have one
