Park Tickets at Disney Store?

The very last thing I have to buy for this trip is our tickets! I'm heading out to the mall after work tonight ( a bit of a drive) to pick up some misc. items for our trip.... so my question of the day is...

Does The Disney Store still sell park tickets??

We were in a Disney Store Sunday and they did have tickets. The DLR side was running pretty low compared to the WDW side, though.

Our local Disney Store does as well.. but just an FYI if you happen to be AAA members, ours sells the tickets as well and they don't charge the tax unlike the Disney store. May be a little savings there for you.:confused3

Oh my God, the local disney store I remember going to since I was a little girl has CLOSED!!!!

I wish I were a AAA member! Now I don't know if I should just buy tix at the gate or buy them online before we leave. Hrumph.

Do you know anyone who is a AAA member who can purchase your tickets for you? (AAA tickets also include free parking.) Are you a member of a credit union? Many credit unions sell DL tickets at a discount. If these options don't work for you, I would buy the tickets online, just to save time when you arrive. You should be able to go straight to the gate instead of waiting in line for a ticket booth.

Our nearest Disney Store closed down recently too! I couldn't believe it. I buy my DLR tickets at Ares Travel or Get Away Today for a small discount.

I was going to recommend buying them online anyway. Although the plastic park tickets (that you get from the Disney Store) are nice and sturdy, when one member of our group lost his ticket in March, he just presented a copy of his eTicket and they replaced it, no problem. Made me really think that the eTickets are the way to go.

The 'gift card malls' (you know, on the end of an aisle or two) in several of our local supermarkets also sell tickets-maybe try there if you really want the plastic ones?

But I'd agree that you might want to just purchase online.

Isn't it cheaper to buy online vs buying at the gate? Plus you avoid an extra line. :)

That can sometimes be the case. Now, however, there is no discount for buying online, although it remains very convenient.

Hrm.

So, we're flying in early Monday afternoon, but not going into the parks that day. We don't really have a lot planned other than meeting up with an LA based friend for dinner in DTD.

Should I just rock up later in the evening and buy my tickets from the booth the night before? When you buy online, do they then exchange them for physical tickets, or are the paper ones you print out your official tickets? Having a real ticket is much more appealing to me than something printed off at home (I scrapbook).

Also, I was going to see about redeeming my Photopass plus at like, 7pm, buying a ticket at full price, rushing to the camera shop, then having them refund the ticket price as I've read others here doing. If I buy a 3 day park hooper, then a 1 day, 1 park ticket which will then later get refunded, am I going to be "that guest" that's super annoying to the cast member?

If you buy an eTicket online, they exchange it for a real ticket at the turnstyle - it's super easy. All the tickets you buy or pick up directly at Disneyland are on heavy cardstock.
