My family has three 7-day Magic Your Way passes with water park option. We used 4 park days on our last trip and only one water park day. So, we made them non-expiration tickets on our way out.

Please pardon my ignorance here, but can another family member replace my wife and use the third pass for a day at Typhoon Lagoon with my daughter and I?

Sorry, no. The tickets are non-transferrable.

The tickets are linked to the finger print of the first user. If the FP does not match they will know and can ask for ID. They can take the ticket away... I doubt Disney would do so but why go through the hassle.
I understand what you want to do and years ago Disney did unwritten allow family members to share tickets... as with everything else people took advantage of it by selling part used tickets and other things.... now they have the finger scanners.

Thx for responses. Ok, so let's say that the fingerprint machine is on when we visit a water park, and let's say my Dad's finger doesn't match my wife's. So then they ask for ID - what do they match the ID against? I don't recall registering anyone's name to buy the ticket. And my Dad's last name is the same as my family's. Am I missing something here?

EDIT: After looking more into this it sounds like the ID step isn't used very often and the fingerprint machines are relied on exclusively - is this correct?

You're supposed to sign the back of the MYW tickets when you get them. So if there's a problem, then can then look at the signature on your ticket and compare it against your driver's license signature to prove that it's you.

Depending on Disney's mood, crowd level, or some other formula, we have seen Guests who don't scan, denied entry and sent to Guest Relations on occasion.

DIS posting guidelines do not allow discussion of ways to get around the rules.

Since this isn't a DVC specific topic (MYW ticket questions belong on the Theme Park Board) and you have your answer (tickets are not transferable), I am closing the thread.
