this may be the wrong place for these questions but here it goes, if I rent points for a trip can I add ticket and dinning packages? and would free dinning apply if my trip fell on those dates?

Free dining is not an option - DVC members staying on points are not eligible.

You are on your own for tickets - you may purchase at the resort when you check in or in advance from any source you choose.

You may add the dining plan (basic or deluxe) to a rental. The owner must add it to your reservation at least 48-72 hours in advance of arrival (don't wait until the last minute or you may lose the opportunity). You pay for the dining plan in full when you check in. Price is the same as it is for cash customers who add it to a room & ticket package.

DVC members (or their guests or renters) do not have to stay a minimum number of nights or purchase a ticket to add the Dining Plan to a points reservation. But they are required to purchase the plan for every member of the party for every night of the stay if they choose to add the DP.

Assumedly, the new counter service option should be available to folks at the 29.99 price per person, although I haven't checked into that...

Has anyone ever done the Magic Your Way options to get the park tix and dining for the aforementioned price?

Certainly something I would look into...

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking, but you don't need to do anything special to add the dining plan to your DVC reservation. You simply call Member Services (or have the member do it if you are renting points) and have them add it. Then you pay for it when you check in. As for tickets, you can purchase them anywhere you'd like. Some tour companies offer them at a cheaper price than WDW does. You are free to get them from one of those companies or directly through WDW.

Tickets and dining are separate. Some people get confused and think the dining plan is attached to your admission tickets rather than the room.

AFAIK, the counter service dining plan is not yet available to DVC members. At this time, it is a 2009 option for CRO/WDWTC cash packages.

Many do expect that it will be available to DVC members in the future - we'll just have to wait and see.

Ok so why when I call Disney Dining they say I don't have the dining plan. When I had the person I rented from add it on???? Does it mean I don't have it till I actually get there and pay for it. I was very confused tonight when I spoke with D Dining.

I don't think the CMs at 407-WDW-DINE can see DVC reservations. If / When you call them back and they say again that you don't have it, tell them you have a DVC reservation for points.

Not sure why they even care - you are allowed to make ADRs the same as everyone else. Perhaps they are just collecting data.

I made ADR's ok, but when it came to CRT and HDDR I gave a CC# to hold the reservation. They told me it wouldn't be charged but they did because I don't have DxDDP according to them. Thats 700.00 on my card that I really don't want to pay for. Is this right?????

When you get the DDP as part of a package through Disney, you pay for it as you pay for your resort reservation. When you get the DDP attached to a DVC points reservation, you don't pay for it until you arrive. So the dining people probably don't have a clue that you are signed up for the plan at this point and won't until just before you arrive.
