Hi

We've booked the flights and nearly the villa for next May and as just like many of you organising our holiday has consumed my nights:cool1:!! I've just realised that as my son turns 10 whilst in Florida does he need an adult or child ticket for the parks (disney & Universal?). Obviously we'd rather pay for a child but don't want to get in trouble if they realise he turned ten and we bought a childs ticket! :confused3 Any help please?? Many thanks

I dont know about Unversal's policy but Disney definitely still counts him as a child. It is his age at check in that counts. Assuming you arrive at Disney before his birthday, it is a child ticket. On or after his birthday and you need to get him and adult one.

Many thanks that's a great help I was worried we'd have to get an adult - I mean adult at 10 you don't want them to grow up at the best of times do you!! Thanks again x

You are so welcome. As you can imagine this question comes up regularly as many people go to Disney to celebrate a birthday.

I don't think I have done so yet, but a very warm welcome to the DIS! May this be the beginning of many years of happy planning .... and of many questions! :goodvibes

Thanks, I agree with the many questions - far far too many but everybody on here is very helpful it does give you a feeling you can actual organise things with all the help!! :)

Just to make sure I was clear, that was an invitation for you to post more questions, not a jibe at you for asking one. ;) What so many people don't realise is that by posting a question, the answers that follow are incredibly helpful to so many others. So effectively, the person asking the question has taken the initiative to help others. Just something to keep in mind if you are ever waivering about posting what you might think to be a silly question. In reality, if you ask it, it's not silly.

Happy planning!

Oh you're so right. I "lurked" for a long while before I started posting but I learned so much from the questions of others. Now that I'm a WDW vet with one trip under my belt (I went for the first time this past Christmas/New Years) I feel more comfortable asking questions here. But I should have started sooner!
