We are going to Disney (SSR) in March for 4 days. 2 adults and 2 kids. Anyway, can I purchse 10 Park Hopper Adult tickets through Disney with no expiration, so that I use 4 and wife uses 4 leaving us 2 left over for future use? This seems like the best way to save $$$ since the tickets are cheaper when buying in quantity. Are the tickets limited to ONE person? Please help-Thanks

Tickets are now matched to the person using them with a biometic scan of two fingers so you and your wife would not be able to share a ticket. When Disney developed the Magic Your Way tickets they made the days cost less the longer the ticket (days 7,8,9, and 10 cost like $3.00 a day or something) is for so that people would be encouraged to stay longer and spend more money on rooms, food, etc. In order to prevent uses like you describe and ticket resales they started taging the tickets with finger scans

Only one person can use a ticket. It cannot be shared. You'll have to buy two tickets. And, yes, two shorter length tickets are much more expensive than one longer length ticket.

We always have PAPs. Our PAPs ran out two days before our last trip ended. We won't be going back until Nov. I didn't want to waste all those days, so I got us (three of us) each a two day ticket, no hopping. Came to about $400 for the three of us. About the cost of one PAP.

No other way around it.

OK- that makes since but could we each buy 10 no expirations and bring home what we don't use for future trip? Does the length of stay limit the number of tickets you can purchase?

As long as you have the no expiration option, you can use them until they are used up. As long as it takes.

PAPs are Premium Annual Passes. We get all four theme parks, PI, water parks, the whole works for one year.

that sounds like the way to go, but let me get this straight. My 10 tickets can only be used by me? I am not looking to share the same ticket each day, we would each use a ticket

The 10 day MYW is a ticket with all 10 days on it. You will need to purchase a ticket for everyone over 3yrs and if you want to use them on your next trip, you will also need to add the No Expiration option which for a 10 day ticket is currently $135 to the cost of the ticket itself.

My family chose the 10 day over the AP's because we visit the parks 2-3 times per visit and less if we do waterparks or if it is peak season. Matter of fact, we purchased the 10 day NoEx for each and also the Annual Pass for water parks and DQ which works really well for us.

Yes, if you have a 10 day MYW ticket, it can only be used by you. The first time a person uses a MYW ticket, the biometrics are set. Only that person will be able to use that ticket going forward.

So if you and your wife each have a 10 day MYW ticket, and use 4 days for park admission on your trip, you will each have 6 days of park admission left to use in the future. Of course, that assumes you also purchase the "no-expiration" feature.

Best wishes -

Thanks for everyones help. I'm trying to get the most bang for my buck. I guess I'll pay extra $$$ for the 10 day no expiration and save $$$ in the long run. Thanks again

How much is the 10 day no expiration for an adult anyway? Is it cheaper to do that than to buy a PAP ?

If your kids are 9 or younger, you should buy the 10 day ticket because Disney does not penalize children for growing up. Any unused days can be used by the child even after he/she passes age 9.

An adult 10 Day MYW ticket that doesn't expire that includes park hopping and 6 options to visit water parks/DQ/PI/WWOS is $463.30 at the gate and $444.11 (Thpremium MYW ticket is the one that is most comparable to a Premium Annual Pass). A child's ticket would be $421.75 and $408.97 respectively.

If you don't need the no expiration feature, an adult's 10 Day is $319.52 at the gate and $300.34 in advance. A child's ticket is $278.00 at the gate and $265.20 in advance.

In contrast, an adult PAP (with the DVC discount) is $440.91 and a child's is $387.66.

Which is best? Depends on your own travel plans. Will you visit more than 10 days within a year? Want to go to one of the "options" more than 6 times within a year? Do you need the no-expiration feature?

We got 2 annual passes when we signed the deal for our new home from our agent. She said they don't have an expiration date on it as to when we first get to use it. So... if I am only going for 6 days this year, and only once, I didn't know if it was worth it to use it this year, or if I should just buy a hopper and use it another year when I might be planning 2 trips, or staying a little longer?????

Sounds like what you actually have is a voucher - those are good forever AFAIK. Your year of admission doesn't start until you exchange the voucher for the actual pass.

If it were me, I'd probably save the voucher for a time when we have at least 2 trips planned with a year, and buy a 6 or 7 day MYW ticket for this year's trip.

FWIW, we generally only go once a year in the late November/early December time frame, but we buy APs. We schedule our trips 50 or 51 weeks apart so that we can get two trips out of one AP. Maybe that strategy will work for you, too.

CarolMN That is how we do our DL AP, we plan to go twice if not 3 times on it, that works out great, we will have to look into that for next years WDW trip, but I think for this year, we should do the MYW or the NO expiration one. Thanks again

Can you buy length of stay passes if you are a DVC member or do you have to buy regular tickets.

WDW no longer has the length of stay ticket. Only MYW ticket, annual passes. A few other specialty tickets like convention tickets. No length of stay like in the past.
