Is the rate cheaper by the week or anything? I want to use the park stroller, but not thrilled about the cost.

In the past, we have used www.orlandostrollerrentals.com and have been very impressed with their price/quality/service.

This doesn't really help you if you really want to pick up a stroller at the parks, but if you don't mind a quick fold and carry, bringing them on the buses is not that big of a deal. It would save you quite a bit of cash - plus you can use the strollers to roll the sleeping kids back to the room after the evening park visits :)

I actually love the Disney strollers and always get a double for my twins. Just like the park tickets, the price per day goes down with the more days you purchase in advance. What I love about them is they are fairly easy to manipulate around the park and when you choose to park hop, you just pick up a new one without the hassle of having to haul one with you on the buses and/or monorail. Of course, my guys are not infants so that does make a difference. Also, I highly recommend bringing a colorful umbrella (closed of course) to put across the sun shade - it makes it extremely easy to spot your stroller when a CM has moved it to the stroller park where they truly all look alike. Hope that helps!

We just used Apple Strollers. 53.00 for 7 days included ins, delivery and rain cover. Can't beat that!

The nice thing about renting a stroller from an off-site company is that you can bring it with you to your hotel or Downtown Disney. Park strollers have to stay in the park.

Plus its much cheaper to rent one from from an independent company. And they'll usually deliver it right to your hotel for you.

We have used both disney and our last trip we used apple. Depending on how long off site will save money. For short stays it might not be worth it. On the disney site it has a price per day but if you buy all the days at once the cost per day does go down by a few dollars. I found that the cost of off site for a short stay wasn't worth it cause I would get the insurance to be safe and that just threw the cost over what disneys was.

Of course like a PP said if you know you will need it for the resort too or at DTD then off site would be better. Also remember you will have to deal with buses and taking a stroller too. So lots of options just depends on the pros and cons of the situation as to what you go with.
